Colours of the Wet Season...

Five minutes from our house is this little bush track that leads you down to an gloomy billabong...
A few month ago Caleb found out that's where all the good fish live, especially now it's been topped up with a bit of rain!

This time of the year the landscape and colours really inspire me.
The tropical bush fruits & the green forest colours are everywhere during the wet season.

Tropical Bush Fruit...

Looking over our backyard.

To get into the spirit of the tropical wet season Caleb & I purchased some new bed linen from Adairs,
we found this Home Republic -
Cape Tribulation bedspread and pillows that fits in perfectly with our house considering we are surrounded by forest.
The canopy is from a little shop in Seminyak Bali and adds a romantic Balinese touch.

Now that we know we will be in the Cape for the next few years we are looking forward to setting up our house and shipping the rest of our furniture up from Cairns. I look forward to sharing photos when we move out to the ranger's cottage, deeper in the forest.

I hope everyone is having a fabulous week, Christmas holidays are nearly here!

I love your photographs. It's a pretty fancy boudoir!! We are celebrating the beginning of the wet season with a new no-leak roof (a very expensive purchase at that). Cheers!
